EU CITIZENS REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE

Residence permit that all EU, EEA and Switzerland citizens must obtain.​

INITIAL / PERMANENT EUROPEAN COMMUNITY FAMILY MEMBER CARD

Residence permit to be processed or renewed by relatives of a Spanish citizen or from another State Member of the European Union, or another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or Switzerland, who do not hold the nationality of one of the States mentioned above, when they reunite or accompany them, and planning to reside in Spain for a period exceeding three months.​

EXTENSION OF STUDY PERIOD

It is an extension of the authorization to continue their studies in Spain, a student exchange, internships or volunteer services.​

Es un permiso de residencia para la búsqueda de empleo o para emprender un proyecto empresarial que podrán solicitar los estudiantes, titulares de una previa autorización de estancia por estudios, que hayan finalizado los estudios en una institución de educación superior autorizada en España y que haya alcanzado como mínimo el Nivel 6 de acuerdo al Marco Europeo de Cualificaciones.

RESIDENCIA PARA PRÁCTICAS PROFESIONALES

Es un permiso de residencia para la búsqueda de empleo o para emprender un proyecto empresarial que podrán solicitar los estudiantes, titulares de una previa autorización de estancia por estudios, que hayan finalizado los estudios en una institución de educación superior autorizada en España y que haya alcanzado como mínimo el Nivel 6 de acuerdo al Marco Europeo de Cualificaciones.

STUDENT TO RESIDENT PERMIT MODIFICATION

It is a temporary residence and work permit that an employer requests for hiring a person who is in Spain under a study, research or internship period.

 

It can be requested by the student itself if they intend to work on their own or shows sufficient funds to reside in Spain without having to work.

TEMPORARY RESIDENCE RENEWAL

Until the person obtains the long-term residence, residence permits must be renewed annually the first time and every two years thereafter.

LONG TERM RESIDENCE

Authorizes to reside and work in Spain indefinitely under the same conditions as Spaniards. It is requested after 5 years of legal and continued residence in Spain.​

FAMILY REUNIFICATION

It is a temporary residence authorization that may be granted to the relatives of foreigners residing in Spain, provided that they have already renewed their residence permit for the first time.​

WORKING ROOTS

If you have been in Spain for at least two years in an irregular administrative situation and can prove a working relationship for not less than six months duration by means of a court ruling or an administrative record, you can regularize your situation through working roots.

SOCIAL ROOTS

If you have been living in Spain for at least three years, have an employment contract and accredited family ties with other resident foreigners, or present a favorable report on social insertion, you can obtain a residence and work permit through social ties.

FAMILY ROOTS

You can obtain a residence and work permit if you prove that you are a child of a father or mother who was originally Spanish, or if you are the father or mother of a minor of Spanish or Community nationality, provided that they depend on you.

ROOTS TO RESIDENCE PERMIT MODIFICATION

The residence permit obtained by any type of root must be modified, not renewed, to obtain a residence permit and an initial ordinary work.​

RESIDENCE FOR MINORS

Residence permit corresponding to underage children (born in Spain or not) of a father/mother who is a legal resident in Spain.

MODIFICATION OF RESIDENCE

It is possible to modify the residence and work permits for other kind of permits (relatives of European community members who lose this condition, modification of the type of work permit, modification of residence without work permit to residence and work, modification of the permission for highly qualified professional to permit of residence and ordinary work, etc.)​.

INITIAL AUTHORIZATION FOR RESIDENCE AND WORK

This is an authorization for temporary residence and work that an employer requests for the hiring of a foreign worker who is not living or residing in Spain.​

INVESTORS

If you make any of the following investments you can obtain a residence and work permit in Spain for 2 years for you and your family:

  • Purchase of properties with a minimum value of € 500,000

  • Purchase of public debt for € 2M

  • Acquisition of shares or social participation of Spanish capital companies for € 1M

  • Investment at investment funds, closed-end investment funds or venture capital funds set up in Spain for 1M €

  • Investment in bank deposits in Spanish financial institutions for € 1M
